CHICAGO (WLS) -- All Chicago Public Schools students who attend the first day of class on Tuesday will get two free passes to the Museum of Science and Industry as well as free rides on the CTA.

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible. The students can utilize the passes between Tuesday and June 21.

Vouchers will be included in packets that the students will receive on the first day of school. The voucher is only good for museum entry and not for special exhibits.

This is the ninth year that the museum has been offering free tickets to CPS students on the first day of class.

The CTA is also offering CPS students free bus and train rides on the first day of school.

As part of its "First Day, Free Rides" program, students who are enrolled in school will continue to be eligible to ride the CTA for 75 cents Monday-Friday from 5:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. while school is in session.
