CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two members of the International Space Station's (ISS) Expedition 48 crew are performing a spacewalk Friday to install an International Docking Adapter (IDA) on the forward end of the station. The docking ring was brought up on SpaceX's CRS-9 Dragon mission and has been sitting inside the spacecraft's trunk since arriving at the orbiting outpost one month ago. Astronaut Steve Bowen knows a thing or two about the ISS. He has logged a total of 40 days, 10 hours, 4 minutes and 37 seconds in space, including 47 hours and 18 minutes in 7 spacewalks. He joins us to talk about his time in space.
Bowen is in town for the Chicago Air and Water Show.
