3 injured in Sugar Grove car crash

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- At least three people have been injured in a serious car crash near the intersection at Route 47 and Prairie Road in far west suburban Sugar Grove, fire officials say.

Sugar Grove Fire Department officials say one of the injured people was airlifted from the scene to a local hospital by helicopter. Officials have not released the conditions of any of the injured.

Route 47 is shut down in both directions from Cross to Prairie. Drivers should use an alternate route.
