'King of Instagram' arrested at LAX for stocking explosives
The so-called 'King of Instagram' was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly stockpiling explosives in Nevada.

LOS ANGELES -- The so-called "King of Instagram" was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly stockpiling explosives in Nevada.

Dan Bilzerian has more than 5.7 million people following his Instagram account. He's known for his photos that show him with half-naked women, his love of guns and gambling professionally.

He once drove a tank over a BMW just because he thought it would look cool, and he posted a video of himself firing weapons at a vehicle in the desert, and then watching it explode.

Blizarian flies around the world on his private jet, but upon landing at LAX from the Bahamas on Tuesday, he was stopped by airport police.

Bilzerian and a friend were arrested by LAX police using warrants out of Nevada for possessing explosives on public land. Prosecutors say he had been stockpiling an ammonium nitrate mix, with intent to use it as an explosive.

Las Vegas police say the discovery was made after receiving a call of an explosion in Clark County Desert on Nov. 4.

Bilzerian spent the night behind bars in L.A. and was released Wednesday.

But there could be more problems for the hard-partying Bilzerian. During a recent trip to a Miami nightclub, a woman says Bilzerian kicked her in the head. She filed a police report and a lawsuit.

According to the ABC affiliate in Miami, Bilzerian challenged the woman's account in an Instagram post that was later deleted.
