Freight train derails in Cicero

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- There's been a freight train derailment in Cicero - eight rail cars derailed at 26th near Ogden Avenue early Tuesday morning.

The accident has 26th Street blocked.

There was no word on if the weather had anything to do with it.

The derailment occurred near the Cicero stop on the BNSF Metra line, however, Metra service has not been affected.
