Garfield Ridge bank robbery suspect wanted for 3 other robberies, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man in connection with three bank robberies and an attempted fourth robbery in LaGrange Park, officials said.

The latest robbery occurred at the TCF Bank in the 6000-block of S. Archer Avenue in the city's Garfield Ridge neighborhood around 9:37 a.m. Monday, police said.

Police said the suspect is also allegedly connected with the following reported robberies:

  • TCF Bank, 8000-block of South Ridgeland, Oak Lawn, Ill., on June 10
  • TCF Bank, 1000-block W. Galena Blvd., Aurora, Ill., around 11:38 a.m. on July 9

Police said the suspect also allegedly attempted to rob a TCF Bank location in the 500-block of E. Woodlawn in LaGrange Park around 10:42 a.m. on July 16.

The suspect is described as being a 5-foot-11 African American man in his mid-twenties weighing 160 pounds. A reward is being offered by the FBI in Chicago for information leading to an arrest.
