CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's ban on plastic bags goes into effect in two weeks. However, you might not notice anything different at Jewel-Osco stores.
The grocery store will begin offering a reusable plastic bag on August 1 when the ban goes into effect. They say the bag is thicker and more durable. Other bags will also be for sale, starting at 10 cents.
Mariano's plans to eliminate all plastic bags, offering only paper instead.
