CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 52-year-old man is accused of killing a dog by repeatedly picking the animal up by its legs and dropping it on its head.
Police said Melvin Stovall was arrested Tuesday after he was identified as the man who allegedly caused the dog's death on March 10.
Stovall, of the 2000-block of West Adams Street, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, and was ordered held on $150,000 bond Thursday.
He is due back in court on March 29.
