GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Around 350 people are without gas service in Gary, Ind., NIPSCO says, after gas crews working in the city's downtown area hit a gas main, causing a service disruption.
NIPSCO officials say workers will need to enter residences to restore service. Workers will be calling the affected homes and knocking on doors, and NIPSCO says they will leave instructions at those residences if no one is home.
The company says crews will be working through the evening and night to check and restore service to all customers.
