His bail has been set at $30,000 for each count, for a total of $60,000.

Humble ISD says Martinez was put on leave last April due to a parent's concerns that a child may have been touched inappropriately at school. Martinez was barred from the campus and an investigation was launched. He resigned in May, a month after being put on leave.

District spokesperson Jamie Mount said, "Humble ISD works with law enforcement for the well-being of all children. Inappropriate behavior will be investigated and prosecuted."

Martinez was a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Park Lakes Elementary School from 2009-2014.
