Park Ridge honors heroes who saved driver's life

PARK RIDGE, ILL. (WLS) -- Park Ridge honored several heroes who came together to save the life of a driver who suffered a heart attack.

Jim Maglieri and his wife came to the Park Ridge Police Department to thank all those who came to his rescue March 20.

Several witnesses saw his car crash into a tree. They pulled him out of the wreckage and performed CPR. Emergency responders who arrived soon after were able to revive him.

All were recognized at Monday night's ceremony.
