CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicagoans looking to expand their families with a furry friend should head over the PAWS Chicago Adopt-A-Thon.
The 36-hour adoption marathon kicked off Friday at the shelter on North Clybourn Avenue.
PAWS Chicago is the city's largest no-kill shelter. They say the holidays are perfect time to adopt since families spend more time at home and can bond with their new pets.
The marathon is open until 11 p.m. Saturday.
