Peotone airport plans move forward with forum

PEOTONE, Ill. (WLS) -- Gov. Quinn is moving ahead with plans to build a third Chicago-area airport in south suburban Peotone.

At his direction, the Department of Transportation is planning a forum next month with airlines, private developers and potential airport tenants.

This move follows the state's recent purchase of a small airport at Bult Field, which will serve as the new airport's first runway.
