WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Perdue Foods is recalling approximately 31,703 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the products may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of bone.
The fully cooked chicken products were produced on March 21. The following products are subject to recall:
The products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST.P-369" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the Food Safety and Inspection Service and the company received consumer complaints. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a health care provider.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
