Truck crashes into house in Dwight

DWIGHT, Ill. (WLS) -- A family in Dwight, Illinois, had a rude awakening Saturday morning when they awoke to a pickup truck crashing into their home.

The pickup wound up almost completely inside of the house.

The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and it took firefighters more than half-an-hour to get him out.

He was rushed to the hospital.

No one inside the home was hurt, but the damage made the building unsafe.

The residents are staying somewhere else this morning.

The driver's condition is unknown.
