The teen was arrested early Thursday morning near where the shooting took place, police said.

CPD said, about 30 minutes before his arrest, he fatally shot an 18-year-old man in the head in the 7200-block of South Avers Avenue in West Lawn.

A 15-year-old was also shot.

Police said a group of five people was walking when three people in the group pulled out guns and fired shots at the other two.

The three suspects fled the scene, but were taken into custody by responding officers, police said.

The 17-year-old is due in court Friday.

Police said two guns were recovered from the scene. Area One detectives are investigating, and charges are pending.
