6 hospitalized after 5-vehicle crash on South Side, CFD says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Six people were hospitalized after a crash on the city's South Side on Sunday evening, the Chicago Fire Department said.

CFD said five vehicles were involved in the crash near West 87th Street and South Western Avenue.

One person was in critical condition, two others were in serious condition, and three more were in good condition, CFD said.

What caused the crash was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
