Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Rev. Tom McCarthy recently told a story of what happened when the pope tried to change his bank information over the phone after moving to the Vatican.

Father McCarthy said the pope called his bank in South Chicago about two months after moving overseas.

When he identified himself as Robert Prevost, the bank associate said he had to go in person.

"He said...I'm not going to be able to do that... Would it matter to you if I told you I'm Pope Leo?"

And the bank associate hung up.

"Could you imagine being known as the woman who hung up on the pope?" McCarthy said.

The problem was eventually fixed through a friend of the bank's president.

It shows that even the leader of the Catholic Church sometimes has to ask for a supervisor.
