
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the city's South Side Thursday.
The crash happened around 6:53 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Morgan Street in Englewood, Chicago police said.
The victim, a female pedestrian whose age and identity were not yet known, was struck by a Chevy vehicle at the location, police said. She was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
A driver was taken into custody. Charges are pending, CPD said.
No further information was immediately available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
