Chopper 7 over police investigation at currency exchange on SW Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a crash-and-grab crime at a Brighton Park currency exchange store on Wednesday.

The crime happened at about 5:13 a.m. at PLS Check Cashers at Western Avenue and 47th Street, Chicago police said.

Chopper 7 was over the scene at 6 a.m.

CPD said the suspects crashed a Jeep SUV into the business. It was not clear if anything was taken.

The SUV was left at the scene was some damage.

Chicago police said no injuries were reported.
