Man charged in deadly NW Side hit-and-run last February: CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged in a deadly hit-and-run last February in Avondale, Chicago police said Wednesday.

Daron Lipscomb, 31, is facing several charges including reckless homicide.

The crash occurred on February 20 in the 3500-block of North Elston Avenue.

Police said Lipscomb was driving when he blew a red light and slammed into another vehicle.

The hit-and-run killed 25-year-old Ali Abdullah and left another person seriously hurt.
