Circle K store appears to be target of smash-and-grab in Chicago's Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A driver smashed through the front window of a convenience store in an apparent robbery attempt.

Heavy damage was left behind at the Circle K store at Adams and Franklin in downtown Chicago.

The crime scene is across the street from the Willis Tower.

So far, it's not clear if any money or merchandise was stolen.

ABC7 reached out to the Chicago police department for more information.
