
CHICAGO (WLS) -- An 18-year-old killed in a shooting on the Chicago's West Side has been identified by officials.
The shooting happened Saturday at about 10:15 p.m. in the 4800-block of W. Quincy Street, police said.
Police responded to a call of a person shot. They then found an 18-year-old was shot in the armpit.
He was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The victim was identified as Aniyhas S. Jackson by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Witnesses told police the suspect was still on the scene.
A short time later, a 17-year-old boy was taken into custody.
No other information was available.
