18-year-old killed in triple shooting in Bronzeville, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An 18-year-old boy was shot to death on Sunday on the city's South Side, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at about 5:05 p.m. in the 4100 block of S. Wabash Avenue, police said.

Three victims were in a car when police said three suspects approached them.

Police said the victims drove off and came to a stop near 30th Street and Michigan Avenue.

At least one of the suspects pulled out a gun and started shooting.

An 18-year-old boy was shot multiple times, police said he died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man was struck in the leg. He was taken to U of C Hospital in good condition.

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the leg. She was taken to U of C Hospital in good condition.

There was an alert sent to students on the Illinois Institute of Technology campus nearby, but police say there is no threat to the campus itself.

Nobody is in custody.
