CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Flood Watch is in effect until Friday for the southern suburbs and northwest Indiana, areas that were already hard-hit by severe weather and at least six confirmed tornadoes earlier this week.
ABC7 Chicago meteorologists said heavy rain was developing for Thursday afternoon and evening.

A Ground Stop at O'Hare airport has been lifted.
The Flood Watch is in effect through Friday at 10 a.m. for DeKalb, LaSalle, Kendall, Grundy, Kankakee, northern Will, southern Will and eastern Will counties.
Also in Indiana, the Flood Watch is in effect for Jasper, Newton and Benton counties until Friday at 10 a.m.

Thursday's White Sox vs. Cincinnati Reds game was moved up to 12:10 p.m. due to the forecast.

The latest severe weather comes as the area continues to clean up after storms earlier this week.
On Thursday, the National Weather Service confirmed a total of at least six tornadoes hit the Chicago area on Tuesday, including two in northwest Indiana.
The National Weather Service said an EF2 tornado traveled from Monee to Crete and another EF1 traveled from Orland Park to Flossmoor on Tuesday. A third tornado was confirmed in Will County around Mokena, the NWS said. The damage is consistent with an EF1 tornado. Two of the tornadoes traveled into Indiana. The National Weather Service on Wednesday also confirmed an EF0 tornado in the Oswego area. And an EF1 tornado was confirmed in Wilmington. On Thursday, a sixth tornado, an EF1, was confirmed in the Homewood area.
