
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Storms blew through the Chicago area Monday afternoon, spurring severe thunderstorm warnings.
There is a ground delay at O'Hare airport of about one hour, due to thunderstorms.
ABC7 AccuWeather meteorologists said isolated storms are possible, but most of the day will be mainly dry and warm.
The Storm Prediction Center has the Chicago area under a Level 2 risk for severe weather Monday.
One wave of storms began moving into the area about 12:30 p.m. By about 4 p.m., it had moved through.
It brought with it gusty winds and some hail.
More storms could fire up across Minnesota and Wisconsin later Monday night. Those could impact Chicago's north suburbs.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Wisconsin's Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties until 4 a.m. Tuesday.
There are also chances for severe weather Tuesday and Wednesday, with a Level 3 Risk for much of the area on Tuesday.
Tuesday has a threat of large hail, high winds and possible tornadoes.
Wednesday will have scattered showers and thunderstorms that are potentially severe, especially during the afternoon.
