
OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- Oak Lawn police arrested a man accused of kidnapping, armed robbery and invading a home on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to condos in the 10900-block of Keating Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. for an attempted burglary call.
A caller said a man tried to open her window, but ran off when he saw her.
During the investigation, a second victim from the same building ran up to police and said he had been robbed at gunpoint.
The victim said the suspect allegedly went into his condo, locked him in the bathroom and tried to flee in the victim's car.
Police arrested the suspect about a block away. He was identified as Demarkus Ross of Worth, Illinois.
Ross was charged with home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping while armed with a firearm and armed robbery, all Class X felonies.
Oak Lawn police said he had a previous record of arrests for theft, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
His detention hearing in court was on Monday.
