In video posted by Vatican Media, the pope is seen greeting the crowd at St. Peter's Square from the popemobile.

Someone in the crowd yells: "Go Cubs!"

Pope Leo, a known White Sox fan, responds by saying "they lost!"

The pope then laughs and continues to greet the crowd.
