CHICAGO (WLS) -- A study just came out that takes a closer look at who's showing up to vote on property tax referendums in Cook County and who isn't.
With the April 1 election just days away, the Cook County Treasurer's Office found that wealthier, mostly white communities with high home ownership turn out to vote at much higher rates than lower-income, majority-minority areas where more people rent.
Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas joined ABC7 to talk about the study.
