Teen boy riding dirt bike killed in Wauconda crash

WAUCONDA, Ill. (WLS) -- A male teenager on a dirt bike was killed in a crash in northwest suburban Wauconda Tuesday night, the Wauconda Fire Department said.

Authorities responded at about 9:58 p.m. to the 500-block of North Main Street.

Fire officials said a dirt bike collided with an SUV, and the rider of the dirt bike was lying in the roadway.

The teen was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the fire department said. Two people in the SUV were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
