New movie inspired by Chicago man reuniting with long-lost mother

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new movie inspired by a Chicago bakery is in production for Netflix.

Tyler Perry is backing the project called "'Tis So Sweet."

The movie is based on the story of South Shore baker Lenore Lindsay.

Lindsey was 17 years old when she gave her newborn son up for adoption.

Her son Vamarr Hunter was 35 when he discovered he was adopted.

ABC7 covered the sweet story last November.

Hunter submitted results for genetic testing. It turned out they lived in the same South Shore neighborhood, and he was a regular customer at the bakery she owned.

Taraji P. Henson is set to portray Lindsay in the new movie.

Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott will also star in the movie.

"'Tis So Sweet" has already kicked off production in Atlanta.

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Russell Hornsby, Alexis Louder, Semaj Prather, Arischa Conner, Angela Davis, Caroline Avery Granger, Tasha Smith and DeVon Franklin have been cast in the movie.
