Woman driving motorcycle killed in DuSable Lake Shore Drive crash downtown

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 49-year-old woman on a motorcycle was killed in a fiery crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive Wednesday night, Chicago police said.

The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. in the 400-block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Police said the motorcycle was driving in the same direction as a gray sedan driven by a 25-year-old woman when the sedan struck the motorcycle.

The woman driving the motorcycle was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the sedan was not injured and was taken into custody, with charges and citations pending, police said.
