CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago launched its first pre-kindergarten online application site Monday.
City officials said chicagoearlylearning.org has information on more than 600 preschool programs available under Chicago Public Schools and the Department of Family and Support Services.
Parents can apply online for a spot for their children for the upcoming school year starting at 9 a.m. Monday. Once enrolled, parents will be notified about placement starting June 13. The city said families will be prioritized by need.
Children ages 3 and 4 are eligible for preschool, city officials said. Parents can find the pre-kindergarten centers closest to them on the website.
