Man escapes police custody while treated at North Side hospital

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police were searching Saturday for a man who escaped custody while being treated at a hospital on the North Side.

Shortly after police arrested him, the man said he felt ill. Officials took him to Presence Resurrection Medical Center, in the 7300-block of West Talcott.

He escaped custody at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The man is not wanted for any violent crimes.
