MAYWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Classes will resume at Proviso East High School Wednesday after a fire had the school shut down for two days.

The fire Saturday evening at the Maywood school was extinguished quickly, but 10 rooms were damaged in the section of the building where the fire occurred. No injuries were reported and everyone in the school at the time was safely evacuated.

There is still work to be done in restoring the damaged sections of the school. All affected classes will be moved other areas of the building until restoration is completed.

The missed days of classes this week due to the fire damage will not be made up.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
