Red Robin worker prompts Hepatitis A scare in Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (WLS) -- A Red Robin worker has prompted a Hepatitis A scare in Missouri. Health officials say as many as 5,000 people may have been exposed to the disease.

The problem began when an employee at the Red Robin in Springfield was diagnosed with the Hepatitis A virus, a contagious illness that can affect the liver.

Health officials are reaching out to customers so they can be immunized.
