EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A roof collapse on a vacant building in north suburban Evanston is expected to cause traffic tie-ups during Monday morning's rush hour.

The northbound lanes of Ridge Avenue from Church Street to Emerson are expected to be closed until midday Monday. Drivers will need to use detours in that area.

The roof of a vacant building in the 1800-block of Ridge Avenue collapsed on Saturday, creating quite a cleanup for crews, which will continue Monday.
