Naval officer delivers gifts, scholarships to South Side high school graduates

CHICAGO -- A naval officer from Chicago is helping to make graduation special for a group of high school students.

Ronald McMiller and his sister are from the city's South Side, and for the past four years they have been flying back to Chicago to give out gifts and scholarships to the entire graduating class of Thomas J. Higgins High School.

When McMiller and his sister were children, they pledged to give back to the community when they became successful adults.

They wanted to give to an area that has a lack of positive role models.
