SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- One of the men who accused former House Speaker Dennis Hastert of abusing him as a teenager is set to speak publicly for the first time Tuesday.
In April, Cross testified in federal court that Hastert molested him in 1979 when he was on the Yorkville High School wrestling team and Hastert was his coach.
Prosecutors charged Hastert with banking law violations for paying hush money because the statute of limitations had run out on the sexual abuse case.
Tuesday morning, Cross will testify before Illinois lawmakers. He wants them to get rid of statute of limitations time limits when abuse cases involve children.
