Experts say dead seagulls in South Loop pushed out of nests by other birds

CHICAGO -- Dozens of baby seagulls are showing up dead on a street in the city's South Loop.

People who work in the area said the birds are being pushed off the side of a building near Jefferson and Harrison.

Wildlife officials blame it on other adult seagulls who come in and push the babies out of the nest.

Several birds that survived the fall are now recovering at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center.

Unfortunately some have been euthanized because of their injuries.
