Cyber Monday is here.
Millions of Americans will logon and start holiday shopping entering credit and debit card information without hesitation.
But with security breaches at Home Depot, Target, K-Mart, even the US postal service, just how secure are we?
Here are Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec Cyber Monday safety tips:
1. Don't shop online when you're using public Wi-Fi
2. Stick to well-known credible retailers
3. Before you click purchase, always make sure the site's verified. Just look for an appropriate symbol like Verisign or Verified by Visa.
4. Always check your statements. Check those monthly statements line by line for small, questionable charges, usually under $20.
Whether it's Cyber Monday or any other day of the year Herjavec warns consumers - don't let the ease of online shopping keep you from being cyber-security smart.
