15-year-old dies after accidentally shooting self in head, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago teen has died after accidentally shooting himself in the head Friday morning.

Police say the 15-year-old boy was at a friend's house in the city's Old Irving Park neighborhood.

Witnesses say they heard a gunshot and then looked over to see the teen on the floor bleeding.

The boy was taken to the Illinois Masonic Hospital where he died hours later.
