Romeoville skating rink closes after 42 years

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A popular roller skating rink in the southwest suburbs is now closed after 42 years in business.

The USA Skate Center in Romeoville held its final skating session Sunday evening.

The current owners, who bought the rink in 2003, told the Herald-News that a good opportunity to sell came up.

The new owners plan to turn the building into an auto body shop.
