UNIVERSITY CITY -- A passerby got quite a surprise when they discovered a snake in a trash can at a SEPTA train station in Philadelphia's University City section.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday at the station on Convention Avenue.
SEPTA police called the animal control unit to determine the type of snake that was snuggled inside a bag.
The snake was alive, and since it's cold blooded, it was coiled up and trying to keep warm.
