CROWN POINT, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana museum is showing off a wooden gun that belonged to John Dillinger.
The reputed gangster broke out of a northwest Indiana jail 82 years ago Thursday. To mark the occasion, his namesake museum in Crown Point, Ind. put the artifact on display for one day only.
Dillinger is said to have used it to force guards to open his cell door during his getaway.
