Newly-crowned Miss Illinois talks about her new role

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Whitney Wandland has risen to the top as the newly-crowned Miss Illinois who will represent our state across America.

The Chicago native has a deep love for the city and serves as a mentor to young girls and team captain of the Luvabulls, the Chicago Bulls dance team.

She stopped by ABC7 to talk about what's next for her this year.
