Speed cameras to be added to 4 city safety zones

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Department of Transportation plans to install more automated speed enforcement cameras this week.

The cameras will go up in four children's safety zones:



  • Juarez High School on Tuesday

  • Taft High School, Frazier Elementary and Mulberry Park on Friday


The cameras will issue warnings for speeding for 30 days. After that, speeders could get fined up to $100.
