CHICAGO (WLS) -- A student from South Loop Elementary School is facing discipline after administrators say he brought bullets to school Wednesday.

Officials say those bullets were shown to other students, who then told a teacher. Police were notified.

Officials said the school day was not affected by the discovery, and parents of students were notified about the situation with a letter.
