CHICAGO (WLS) -- Major progress is being made in removing a sunken barge from the Chicago River, officials say.
The barge was being loaded with clay when it broke free of its moorings and sank last month.
Overnight, crews moved it from the Randolph and Lake bridges to near Ashland.
The barge will stay there while the salvage company continues to work on it.
It has not been determined if the barge will ultimately be scrapped or repaired.
