CHICAGO (WLS) -- A church in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood was targeted by vandals with a violent message.
Police said a 62-year-old woman called to say she found a "racial" message painted on the glass door of Lincoln United Methodist Church in the 2200-block of South Damen Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Someone painted a swastika on the door. They left another message encouraging people to commit a violent act.
The church's pastor, Emma Lozano, asked her congregation and community to be on alert.
Area Central detectives are investigating. No one is in custody.
